Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the WesBank Learnership 2026, applicants must:

  • Be aged 18 to 34 years
  • Be a South African citizen
  • Be currently unemployed
  • Not be studying at the time of application
  • Have a Matric certificate and a post-matric qualification (graduate)
  • Have less than 12 months of work experience (including part-time work)
  • Be applying for their first formal job opportunity
  • Not have participated in the FirstJob Programme or worked for FirstRand before
  • Have a good command of English
  • Have a clear criminal record
  • Not be blacklisted
  • Be willing to complete a 12-month learnership programme
