Learnership Overview
The Truworths Learnership Programme provides participants with cross-training in retail operations, enabling learners to work both on the sales floor and at the service desk. The programme focuses on customer interaction, stock handling, and developing core retail skills.
Learners will be required to actively participate in training, complete logbooks, and undergo assessments to be found competent as cross-trained Sales Consultants.
Key Responsibilities
- Successful learners will be expected toWork a minimum of 120 hours as part of the learnership
- Actively learn and build knowledge in retail operations
- Prepare for and complete required assessments and logbooks
- Assist customers in finding merchandise and providing excellent service
- Merchandise the store according to MBP (Merchandising Best Practice) principles
- Process payments and purchases using the POS system
- Open new customer accounts
- Assist in maintaining stock control and reducing stock losses
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ensure customer safety, security, and satisfaction at all times
Requirements
To qualify for the Truworths Learnership 2026, applicants must:
- Have a minimum of Grade 10
- Show a strong passion for fashion and retail
- Be committed, reliable, and willing to learn
