This position is an apprenticeship opportunity for individuals interested in becoming qualified Boilermakers. The programme provides structured technical training and hands-on practical experience in metal fabrication, welding, assembly, and maintenance of steel structures and components. The apprentice will work under supervision while developing the skills required to meet industry standards and eventually qualify as a certified Boilermaker.

Position Purpose
The purpose of apprenticeship is to prepare apprentices to operate independently and productively in preparation of being a competent qualified artisan. The apprentice boilermaker will be trained to plan and prepare, manufacture, assemble, inspect, commission installations and assemblies, modify and repair components, and apply the knowledge and skills obtained in a variety of contexts
Position Outputs
Expected outcome is the ability to plan and prepare work site, equipment, tools, consumables and materials for trade related activities and operations, use hand, power and measuring tools, install, assemble, fit, connect electrical equipment and control systems. Test, inspect, commission, maintain and repair electrical equipment, control systems, installations, assemblies etc.

N2 Subject:
Mathematics (pure),
Engineering Science,
Plating & Structural drawing,
Engineering drawing (draughting),
Metal worker’s theory,
Plater’s theory.
Or
N3-N6 Subjects:

NCV Level 4:
