Job Purpose and Responsibilities
Mission / Core Purpose of the Role
The Trainee will provide end-to-end administrative and coordination support to the assigned Bayobab function. The role involves supporting strategic initiatives, assisting with project execution, and ensuring effective communication and reporting across teams and stakeholders.
Key Performance Areas and Deliverables
Successful candidates will be responsible for achieving the following objectives:
- Provide meaningful input during strategic and operational meetings
- Support enterprise-wide transformation initiatives
- Coordinate and facilitate ad hoc stakeholder meetings
- Escalate critical issues that may impact time, scope, cost, productivity, or resources
- Contribute to internal and global projects
- Prepare documentation for approvals, sign-offs, and decision-making
- Support execution and alignment with functional and business strategies
- Compile and submit progress, status, and ad hoc reports
- Type and format reports according to MTN standards
- Assist in risk mitigation, governance, and compliance controls
- Report periodically to line management on progress and performance metrics
- Drive continuous improvement to achieve optimal service quality
- Research, create, edit, and quality-check presentations in line with MTN corporate branding standards
- Collate and manage information for reporting to Senior Management, cross-functional teams, and vendors
- Assist in maintaining and curating knowledge bases and support staff with access to information
- Interface with OpCo (Operating Company) stakeholders on strategic initiatives
- Assist with producing service documentation, including:
- Contract annexures
- Training materials
- Business presentations
- Support the development and updating of governance policies and strategies
- Provide general administrative, coordination, planning, and organisational support
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Job Requirements
Education
Applicants must have one of the following qualifications:
- A relevant 3- or 4-year Bachelor’s Degree, or
- A 3- or 4-year National Diploma in a related field
