This learnership combines theoretical training with practical workplace experience, leading to a nationally recognised qualification.
Learnership Qualification Details
Successful candidates will complete a Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) in:
Long-Term Insurance – NQF Level 4
This qualification equips learners with industry-relevant knowledge, professional skills, and hands-on experience within the financial services sector, improving long-term employability.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Discovery Learnership 2026, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Mathematics: Minimum Level 4 (50%) OR
- Mathematical Literacy: Minimum Level 5 (60%)
- English: Minimum Level 4 (50%)
- Second language: Minimum Level 4 (50%)
- Must be between 18 and 25 years old
- Must be unemployed and not enrolled in post-matric studies
- Must not have completed any previous learnership
- South African citizen
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Basic computer literacy, including MS Excel and MS Outlook
Advantageous Criteria
- An incomplete tertiary qualification will be considered an added advantage
