Learnership Qualification Details

Successful candidates will complete a Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) in:

Long-Term Insurance – NQF Level 4

This qualification equips learners with industry-relevant knowledge, professional skills, and hands-on experience within the financial services sector, improving long-term employability.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the Discovery Learnership 2026, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate
    • Mathematics: Minimum Level 4 (50%) OR
    • Mathematical Literacy: Minimum Level 5 (60%)
    • English: Minimum Level 4 (50%)
    • Second language: Minimum Level 4 (50%)
  • Must be between 18 and 25 years old
  • Must be unemployed and not enrolled in post-matric studies
  • Must not have completed any previous learnership
  • South African citizen
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Basic computer literacy, including MS Excel and MS Outlook

Advantageous Criteria

  • An incomplete tertiary qualification will be considered an added advantage
