Introduction

The Eastern Artisan Skills Training Centre (EASTC), in partnership with the Small Enterprise Development and Finance Agency (SEDFA), is offering Electrical Apprenticeships for the 2026 intake. This programme is designed to equip unemployed South African youth with practical electrical trade skills through structured theoretical training and workplace exposure.

The apprenticeship targets individuals who are passionate about becoming qualified electricians and contributing to the country’s infrastructure, industrial growth, and economic development.


About EASTC and SEDFA

Purpose of the Electrical Apprenticeship

The purpose of the Electrical Apprenticeship Programme is to:

On completion, apprentices will be eligible to pursue trade testing in line with national regulations.


Apprenticeship Duration

Training Components

Theoretical Training

Apprentices will receive classroom-based training covering:

  • Medically fit for technical and physical work
  • Willing to commit to the full duration of the apprenticeship
