Job Overview
Position: Part-Time Sales Assistant
Working Hours: Up to 27 hours per week
Location: Various PEP Stores nationwide
As a Sales Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting store operations — from helping customers and processing payments to managing stock and ensuring an inviting store environment.

Key Responsibilities
As a PEP Sales Assistant, your day-to-day duties will include:
- Delivering excellent customer service: Greet customers warmly, assist with purchases, and ensure they have a great in-store experience.
- Promoting sales: Achieve sales targets, upsell additional products, and inform customers about promotions and special deals.
- Operating the till: Handle cash and card transactions accurately, following company procedures.
- Maintaining store standards: Keep shelves neat, stock well-organised, and ensure the store is always clean and welcoming.
- Managing stock: Receive, unpack, and manage inventory efficiently to reduce losses and improve store performance.
- Team collaboration: Work closely with other Dynamos to create a positive, efficient, and cost-conscious environment.
- Staying informed: Keep up to date with new products, store updates, and sales initiatives.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you’ll need:
- A Matric certificate (Grade 12)
- Experience in one or more of the following: Cashier, Store Assistant, Sales Advisor, Retail Assistant, Sales Representative, or General Worker
- Proficiency in English
- Must live within 15km of the store location
- Clear criminal record
- Honesty and reliability, especially when handling cash or financial transactions
Preferred (Not Required)
These additional skills or traits are a plus:
- South African citizenship
- Basic computer literacy
- A genuine passion for retail and customer service
- Age between 20 and 35 years
